Searching has become part and parcel of our human life. This has been possible because of the significant improvement that has happened in the field of information retrieval. Any Information Retrieval application can be considered as a collection of different components namely Query Interface where the user enters their information need, the document representation which is done using the indexing process, the matching process which compares the query and the document representation that is available in the index, and finally the ranking process which arranges the documents according to their user query relevance. Lot of work has been done by commercial search engine organizations to make searching a rewarding experience to the users. One such area is to know the user intention behind the queries that is being given in the query interface. Based on the user intention, user queries are being classified as informational, navigational and transactional queries. To make queries more responsive for Information Retrieval, Query Refinement can be done on the individual queries. In recent times ontology has been used in query refinement process and many studies in this area has shown considerable improvement with respect to the results retrieved. In this paper we would like to study the impact of Domain independent ontology in the query refinement process involving transactional queries. Keywords

Wireless Sensor Networks finds it difficult to transfer equal amount of data through all nodes, and in minimizing the level of energy consumption during transmission of data. This paper is an improvement to LEACH protocol; suggested to increase the overall lifespan of the network. Formation of clusters is based upon distance of nodes from base station, number of neighbor nodes and distance among neighbor nodes. The cluster heads are selected on the basis of nodes holding maximum energy. We have proposed the concept of selecting the master cluster head from the elected cluster heads based on the strength of energy that CH nodes have and the distance from the Base station. Further, using this concept, the fused data from master CH are forwarded to the sink node. Proposed work reduces the frequency and length of data exchanged between the CHs and the Base station. Simulation results revealed that the proposed method reduces the consumption of energy by 46.85 percent and increases the lifespan of the network efficiently. The parameters for comparison are First Node Dead and Half Node Alive. Keywords

Objectives: To predict the performance and experimental investigations of the Earth Air Heat Exchanger (EAHE) in hot-dry climate. Methods/Statistical Analysis: In this study the advantage of geothermal energy of soil is used to cool the room effectively. This technique used for transferring the cool air to the room by moderating the temperature of the air. The concrete pipes almost first time employed for the current study instead of using PVC and Mild steel pipes. The temperature difference between the inlet and outlet can be calculated from Resistance temperature detectors. Findings: The adequate cooling of the buildings in summer season as well as heating in winter is two basic demands of human bodies in the present society. Both two societal needs fulfil with the help of an Earth air heat exchanger technique. The existing reports for the study makes the use of PVC pipes and some reports use of GI and Mild steel pipes. The more valid results obtained from the current study by use of concrete pipes for investigations of the performance of this system. The temperature drop from inlet to outlet in concrete pipes more at same length of pipes. These pipes are helpful in more cooling in summer seasons. The savage of electricity is increases with the use of concrete pipes and it becomes popular in rural and urban areas day by day. Application/Improvements: In current study the old Earth Air Heat Exchanger system is improved with use of concrete pipes and efficiency of the is system improved by making system free from dust and other contaminated particles. It can be effectively used in rural and urban areas to cool the houses in summer seasons. Keywords
